Needle felting is a technique whereby unspun wool is formed into shape by pushing a sharp barbed needle in to it. The tiny barbs catch the tiny fibers and mesh them together. Each piece can take anything from 6 to 35 hours to finish depending on the size and complexity. I use the finest wools and silks and pride myself on attention to detail.
The Wools I use are from a professional and very passionate hand spinner, freestyle hand dyer and fiber artist. She works mainly with natural pure animal, silk and vegetable fibers, and uses non toxic dyes and mordants for her designs to protect our environment.
